Vintage Vera Scarves are dated from the 1940's through the 1980's. They came in more than 23,000 original bold and geometric prints.
Vera Neumann started a business in 1946 and she did it right from her kitchen, making placemats. This little business grew to value over $100 million dollars and her products were sold around the world.
Vera moved into producing scarves, linens, apparel and etc. She created each scarf from parachute silk (easy to find during the war), displaying her original works of art. Vera signed her designs with only her first name and a ladybug logo.
Vera passed away in 1993, leaving behind her artwork and 20,000 silk scarves which were purchased by Susan Seid in 2005. She also purchased the trademark and copyrights and created The Vera Company LLC.
Collecting vintage scarves becomes a bold and colorful treasure hunt. Display a mass of scarves on a coat rack or go ahead and tie the found plunder fashionably around your neck for a pick-me-up to any bland outfit.
Another way to liven up your life is to frame a scarf which compliments a room's colors and hang it up for instant art.
