Seven Minute Frosting Recipes

Guest contributor, Michele Gilpatrick, has two Seven Minute Frosting recipes for you to try. One is a no-cook and the other is made in a double boiler on the stove-top.

Michele is a real country living gal. She's a hard working mother to two active boys and works a cattle ranch with her husband in central Montana. Michele also holds down a full time job in town~I don't know how she does it all! Thank you, Michele!



No-Cook Marshmallow Frosting

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup white Karo syrup
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract

Beat salt and egg whites until soft peaks form. Add the sugar gradually, 1 tablespoon at a time. Beat until smooth and glossy. Slowly add Karo syrup, and beat until stiff peaks form. Fold in the vanilla extract.

Angel Mallow Frosting

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 (7 ounce) jar Marshmallow Creme

Combine sugar, egg whites and water in the top of a double boiler over boiling water. Beat until soft peaks form. Add Marshmallow Creme. Beat until stiff peaks form. Remove from heat and beat in vanilla extract.
