Adorning your table doesn't get any easier than this pine cone centerpiece. Genuine pine cones from North central Montana have a beautiful, deep brown color, which fades over several years to a weathered gray.
This particular wooden bowl came from a shop in Alaska, which carves them from native trees while being responsible stewards of the forest.
...that is about 1/3 the size of the wooden bowl. The smaller bowl needs to have a fairly broad, flat bottom and is placed upside down inside the wooden bowl.
is then placed on top of the upside down bowl which raises it up higher than the edge of the wooden bowl. Make sure that it is stable and doesn't wobble. Cinnamon is a very complimentary scent when placed with pine cones.
...placed around the candle. The pine cones should cover the smaller upside down bowl which is only there to heighten the candle.
Reminder: Never leave candles unattended, especially when dried elements are part of the display.

Part of our ranch is on what is known as the Missouri River Breaks, the rough cut landscape along the river's edge.
Here is a shot of our Montana Missouri River Breaks country on a rare foggy day. Our pine cones are found in the area of dark trees. You can even see the road we travel through the snow to get there.
Pine and fir trees thrive in this area and the cones they drop give us a ready opportunity to adorn our home.
We have found a way to share these natural beauties with those who are looking to use nature for decorating. With our Montana Pine Cones, you will have a unique piece of the outdoors to enjoy in your own home. Click on the link to learn more!

This pine cone centerpiece graces our dining room table at any time of the year, not only during the Holidays.
I think it looks just as 'country' and homey in the middle of summer, although it takes a break in another room when we have access to fresh flowers from the garden.
Give it a try!
Use this decoration as a centerpiece on a dining table or on rustic coffee tables. It goes just as well in the living room setting.
It can also be placed on living room side tables or on a bedroom dresser. Even the bathroom looks warmer with this pine cone centerpiece positioned on the vanity.
Remember to think outside the box; look for dull unadorned spots that can become attention-grabbing when brightened up with items normally seen in other areas of your home.
