My Little Bride Was Just My Little Girl...
Yesterday It Seems

human ultrasound photo

She doesn't look much like my little bride yet. In fact, she doesn't appear to be much of anything at this point! But if you look really closely, you can make out her big, round eyes peering right into the camera. It was like she was checking her mama and papa out for the first time.

My little bride, Baylee, before
she graced the world with her presence.

Well, Baylee still doesn't look like a little bride yet, but she is pretty darn cute, I must say.

Baylee was our third child. After having two boys before her (and another one after), Baylee was very special to us. Our children became affectionately known as, "Baylee and the Boys". That is, until our fifth child was surprisingly, another daughter.

She Will Always Be Our Little Farm Girl

Papa's Girl~

It didn't take long for Baylee to become Papa's girl. She wanted to be with him everywhere he went. Baylee's two pig tail braids, big brown 'cow eyes' and missing front tooth (which she lost prematurely at age two) made her just about the cutest little farm girl we'd ever seen.

Don't Blink~

Where did the time go? All at once, Baylee had jumped out of my lap and let go of Papa's hand.

We blinked and Baylee graduated from high school. She had already met Matt by then and they knew someday we would gather for their wedding.

'Pepto' Pink~

Baylee's favorite color was pink when she was a little farm girl. We let her paint her bedroom a 'Pepto-Bismol Pink', which she again chose for her bedroom color after moving in with Roxy and Tony. I think they are ready to paint that room in another, less brilliant tone, now that she is in college!

The Crazy Bride Days of Planning a Wedding

Do It Her Way!~

Planning a wedding turns a lot of gals into a crazy bride. I have to say that Baylee really handles all of this pretty well, although now and again she has a moment of panic.

Matt and Baylee work together nicely...he just does everything she tells him to. There's a hint for all of the grooms out there... just let her have her way!

She's a Frugal Bride ~ Not a Crazy One!

I'd like to think that Baylee's country roots are part of what has made her a very frugal bride to be. There has always been a need to make do with what we have on the ranch and Baylee has learned that lesson very well.

I'll share some of Baylee's frugal bride tips in future articles. She is very creative and finds ways to 'turn a sow's ear into a silk purse' !

All Grown Up and a Denver Bride

Baylee has gone from my little farm girl, to my little Bride and has grown out of our laps...and the 'Pepto Pink' walls of her childhood room.

We are sure Matt and Baylee's wedding will be unique, creative and very special. It will be a reflection of each of their personalities and styles, which they are looking forward to sharing with family and friends.

My little daughter is now my little bride. I don't care how old she gets....I will always have room in my lap for our baby girl.
