Jello Cake Recipe

This Jello cake recipe is cool and tasty; perfect for summertime barbecues, family reunions and country potlucks.

Its super easy to make too, so won't take up a lot of your time.

Use A White Cake Mix For This Jello Cake

  • 1 Small Package Jello ~ any flavor
  • 1 Package White Cake Mix

Dissolve Jello in 3/4 Cup of boiling water ~ add 1/2 Cup of cold water and set aside. Mix and bake the cake as directed in a 13 X 9 pan for 20-25 minutes. Cool completely.

Also Known As Poke Cake

Some call this poke cake because of this next step:

Poke deep holes into the cake with a toothpick or a meat fork (I prefer the meat fork) about 1" apart. Try not to poke all the way through the cake though.

Slowly pour Jello over the cake so it will run down into the holes you have made. Then refrigerate.

An Easy Cake Mix Recipe Requires An Easy Topping

Either top this cake with plain whipped cream or cool whip.
Or you might like to try this topping recipe:

  • 1 Envelope Dream Whip
  • 1 Small Package Vanilla Instant Pudding
  • 1-1/2 Cups Cold Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Beat Dream Whip and milk until dissolved. Add vanilla pudding and beat with mixer until stiff. Frost cake and keep in refrigerator. This topping may also be frozen.
