Cat Grooming GuideUse our cat grooming guide to turn your furry friend into one happy and healthy feline.
Cat's come across as independent, but we all know they need help when it comes to kitty grooming. Your cat really needs you, even though she may not show it and chooses to put on a self-reliant air. Most cat owners worry a great deal about the health and happiness of their pet. Cats put their grooming very high on a short list of priorities. We can help them achieve a clean and healthy look by doing a few, simple things. This cat grooming guide will explain the primping chores your cat needs help with! Get a Good Cat Grooming Brush
Cats groom themselves by licking their fur to remove dirt and debris. This can cause them to develop hair balls in their stomachs. We can help with this task (and reduce the amount of hair swallowed) by brushing daily with a good
cat grooming brush
You will want your cat to enjoy the brushing which will also make it a pleasant experience for you. Brushing a fidgeting or cranky cat would turn into a tedious chore in a hurry. When the cat is new to brushing, keep the grooming session brief. If the cat seems annoyed just stop and try again at a later time. Talk softly to your kitty so she will associate the brush with a calm and pleasant situation. As she gets accustomed to brushing, add more time and before you know it, your cat will love the attention. So proper brushing ranks high on the cat grooming guide's list of important cat owner jobs!

Cats that spend a lot of time outdoors won't need to have their nails clipped very often, if at all. Hard outdoor surfaces naturally wear down their claws. An indoor cat's nails will need clipping once every two weeks. Preparing your cat at an early age for this sometimes stressful
practice is very easy to do. Touch and massage her paws as often as you can when you don't have the
clippers
A Cat Grooming Itself Only Can Do So Much!
Always remember, a cat grooming itself is great, but she needs your help to get the job completely done. Our pets depend on us, so we won't let
them down, will we? This picture says it all! There is nothing
as sweet as little girl who loves her cats! Grooming Matted Cat Fur Is Not Fun For You or Your PetAgain, brush your cat every day, especially if she has long hair to make things easy on you and your pet. Grooming matted cat fur will be extremely uncomfortable for her and no fun for you either! And Keep the Litter Box Clean!
Everyone in the house will be happy Maintaining the litter box was always A clumping litter is the best way to go, in my opinion. Here's an Even Better Idea...Train Your Cat to Use YOUR Toilet!!
You may be surprised to learn that you can indeed train your cat to use the human toilet - just like "Mr. Jinx" from the "Meet the Parents" and "Meet the Fockers" movies! Everything you need to know about toilet training a cat is revealed in one convenient place! There are even photos and videos of cats actually using...and then flushing the toilet. It's really amazing! We sure could have used one of these new fangled, automatic box cleaners back when our girls had cats in the house. Or if we would have had the resources I mentioned above to learn to train our cats to use the toilet! That would have been sweet! Now we have 'barn cats' who spend their time in the corral, chicken house and barn. A much better arrangement for Wade and I, but every time the girls are around, in come the cats! I hope this cat grooming guide will benefit anyone with a new pet who wants to give it the best care possible! Return to top of Cat Grooming Guide
